A Sweet Affair

Okay, again, I will make it quick. My brain, for no reason, is not working at its optimum.

STRESSED = DESSERTS

So, here we are -----> Up To U Station - the new Tong Shui one-stop station in town.

We got there too early. We were told the tong shui not ready yet. So, here come the handy camera. :)

Red Bean + Rice Balls.

Soya + Rice Balls

My review? The red bean soup was well cooked (of course la!)..er..and quite thick paste, tastes sweet but not too sweet...the coloured rice balls were...(took me 2 minutes to think, hard, hoo). See what I mean by 'MY-Brainy Matter IS NOt-functIoNing!!'

Let see how Joel comments about it, "where are you?" ^_^ ~ Notty Nat

Movie: Slumdog Millionaire

Here's a quick review of a movie I chose to watch over the weekend - Slumdog Milionaire. It was one of the red carpet stunners at recent Oscar Award ceremony, sweeping 8 out of 10 nominations, including Best Picture, Best Director and Best Original Song. This 2008 British drama film is an adaptation of a novel Q & A by Indian author Vikas Swarup. When I learned about this movie - my first thought was "Huh? Lousy millionaire by chance? Must be a comedy." Set and filmed in India, Slumdog Millionaire tells the story of a young man from the slums of Mumbai who appears on the Indian version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?

The picture of young Jamal squatting inside the loo. He is so adorable.

Poverty is a disease. Religious and political conflicts make it even worse.

The brothers eke out a living, traveling on top of trains, selling goods, pretending to be tour guides at the Taj Mahal, and picking pockets.

Jamal and his long lost childhood sweetheart, Latika.
*That's all; I'm too tired to tell the details. Sorry for short review. Not in my shape lately. :) Nat~
