Movie: Slumdog Millionaire

Here's a quick review of a movie I chose to watch over the weekend - Slumdog Milionaire. It was one of the red carpet stunners at recent Oscar Award ceremony, sweeping 8 out of 10 nominations, including Best Picture, Best Director and Best Original Song. This 2008 British drama film is an adaptation of a novel Q & A by Indian author Vikas Swarup. When I learned about this movie - my first thought was "Huh? Lousy millionaire by chance? Must be a comedy." Set and filmed in India, Slumdog Millionaire tells the story of a young man from the slums of Mumbai who appears on the Indian version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?

The picture of young Jamal squatting inside the loo. He is so adorable.

Poverty is a disease. Religious and political conflicts make it even worse.

The brothers eke out a living, traveling on top of trains, selling goods, pretending to be tour guides at the Taj Mahal, and picking pockets.

Jamal and his long lost childhood sweetheart, Latika.
*That's all; I'm too tired to tell the details. Sorry for short review. Not in my shape lately. :) Nat~

after watched it... i bcame silence... a very realistic movie (which not my taste usually...), made me thought a lot...
proverty makes ppl changed, the childhood dreams and relationships bcame nil when ppl starts struggle to live...
but, Jamal hold his childhood dream so long, and he overcame the proverty by his good works vs his brother...
"in 1 condition, gt 2 ways, and it's depends on self decision to overcome it..."
hehe, for God sake, Jamal choosed t rite way and ended the story soundly!
and...wat a grace,v x in such bad condition...
